Timeline:

• 1983 - October - Original Colchester Gladiators formed
• 1984 - May - First competitive match
• 1985 - Granted National Leaque status
• 1988 - August - Budweiser Premier Bowl National Champions
• 1991 - Merged with Chelmsford Chieftains to form the Essex Gladiators
• 1993 - Returned to Colchester as the Colchester Gladiators
• 1996 - Club left league set up
• 2003 - October - 20th Anniversary Game
• 2004 - Colchester Gladiators re-formation
• 2005 - Returned to national league action
• 2008 - 25th Anniversary Season
• 2009 - September - BAFL Division 2 National Finalists
